Winner of the Bonny&Clyde Battle at SWAMP Open Air 2016!

Yeah! We made first place at the Bonnie&Clyde battle at SWAMP Open Air 2016 in Potsdam (02.07.2016)!
Bonnie&Clyde is a battle system were a girl & a boy dance together in a team in a KO-System. There were 16 Teams participating with good level!
Me and my teammate TJ from Hamburg, named us the "Dirty Thirties" and made it to the finals despite all young guns and won against the team M&Ms (Mickey/Germany & Mika/Brazil). A big thanks to the organisators and the Battle of the Year, which is sponsoring two BOTY-Tickets for us (-:

Recap: International Hip Hop Studies Conference in Cambridge

From 23.-25.06.2016, Richard Bramwell and James Butterworth organised an international conference on Hip Hop Studies in Cambridge University, UK. It was a great event. Scholars from all over the world came to meet, discuss and present on various topics such as Gender, Politics, Education, Agency, Race and more in the field of HipHopStudies. Highlights were definitely the keynotes from Murray Forman and Tricia Brown, two important co-founders of the research field. My highlight were the two discussion panels on the last day about HipHopEducation and Research on HipHop.

Next to many interesting lectures there was a Breaking performance by SIN CRU from Cambridge and a MC cypher.
Also, i met some more scientists from Germany, also working in the HipHop field, like Sina Nietsche from Dortmund. That´s great!

All in all it was great platform to exchange with so many interesting, smart and energetic people addicted to HipHop Culture!
