T‘HARKAT تحركات (she moved) • Teaser 🎥
The project T’HARKAT conducts practical artistic research on the questions how female dancers can appropriate the public space in a Moroccan city by dancing, as well as questioning the male connotation in urban dances such as Breaking.
“T’HARKAT” is Darija, the Moroccan dialect, and refers to us, dancers and women, walking or moving/dancing in public space. It translates as “she moved“.
T‘HARKAT started in summer 2022 and had its finalization in autumn 2023. The final output - a artistic video documentary - is in the working! Here, you can enjoy the Teaser.
