With a scholarship of my university, I had the chance to travel to the Show&Prove Conference 2016 to California/USA, a conference of the research field "HipHop Studies"! Because we don´t have this research field in Germany yet, it was great to see how many people attended the conference, are interested, researching and working in this topic in the US and Canada. I met many interesting people and enjoyed the time at the University of Riverside! It gives me a lot of motivation for my PhD on Breaking.
Next to lectures and panel discussions, there where workshops of Ken Swift and BGirl Macca. Organiser Imani Kai Johnson made a great Job! I was invited to give a feedback in the closing panel of the discussion. Thank you!After the conference i stayed in Riverside and also visited LA, went to practise in the famous spot "Homeland" and had a good time with the dancers from the city - with special thanks to BBoy Reveal, Bert, Jazemin and BBoy J-Wolf!
