My diplom thesis "Zwischen Lifestyle und Professionalisierung - Analyse der deutschen Breakdance-Szene" (2011) is now online on researchgate and academia (only german language)!

It´s an analysis on the German Breaking Scene and studies the possibilities of professionalization of a subcultural scene and informal dance culture...sorry guys, no english version available yet!

"Elements Bristol" the next hiphop studies conference!

EHHSN, Dortmund, 2019

The next hiphop conference taking place not too far from Germany will be "Elements Bristol" from 06.-08. June 2019 at the University of Bristol, UK. 

Elements Bristol is also the second meeting of the 2018 founded "European HipHop Studies Network" (EHHSN) and aims to rise awaresness and visibility on hiphop research in Europe and to create networks between scholars, students and practicioners.

As i am (founding) member of the network and applied to present some of my research on breaking as a cultural practice, i will be there for sure and hope to see some of you guys there as well!

Kinder der Nacht @Schauspiel Köln

New year, new project! With nutrospektif, we got invited to work with Melanie Kretschmann at Schauspiel Köln for the new theatre production "Kinder der Nacht", the stage version of the classic "Les Enfants Terrible" by Cocteau. The result is a crazy, vivid and unexpected theatre piece with a dark introduction... Premiere: 26.01.2019
